World class learning exhibits and conservation zone

Biodiversity and Ecological Significance
Central Chanda Forest Division, situated in Chandrapur, near the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, boasts rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Recognized by the Wildlife Institute of India, it plays a crucial role in connecting ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and corridors across the expansive forests of Maharashtra.

In response to these challenges, the Forest Department of Central Chanda, under the leadership of Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar, Honourable Forest Minister of Maharashtra, initiated the establishment of the Shraddhey Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Botanical Garden. This pioneering project aims to mitigate human-wildlife conflict by providing alternative livelihood options to the local community, alongside promoting conservation education and efforts.

Ballarshah railway station (BPQ) is 4.5 km from the Botanical Garden, and Chandrapur railway station (CD) is 14km. BPQ is an important railway junction on the New Delhi-Chennai main line with about 160 trains halting there.
Chandrapur is well connected by the road network to all parts of Maharashtra and India. The bus route to Chandrapur is quite comfortable and plenty of luxury buses ply on this route.
Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur is the nearest airport to Chandrapur. It is well connected to major cities in the country.
